The successful candidate will coordinate University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) activities related to health, health care access and healthy living/health promotion of individuals with disabilities across age groups through training, education, technical assistance demonstration and evaluation. Support the specific goals and objectives outlined in the UCEDD strategic plan to address health for people with disabilities through the UCEDD core functions of training/education, research, community training/technical assistance and information dissemination. www.cincinnatichildrens.org/ucedd
Training Competency: * Ability to develop, implement, and evaluate health promotion trainings and health education programs for community members with developmental and intellectual disabilities Technical Assistance for Various Audiences: * Ability to provide technical assistance regarding health promotion and health education to community agencies and providers working with citizens with developmental and intellectual disabilities * Ability to provide technical assistance regarding access to health care and health and wellness activities to health care providers and health care and health and fitness facilities * Ability to provide technical assistance regarding accessibility and People First Language Computer/Software Knowledge: * Proficiency in utilizing computer software: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat and Photoshop
Communication and Social Media: * Good writing skills * Excellent communication skills * Knowledge about People First Language and accessible communication * Knowledge and skills in online communication/social media and web-based applications Collaboration: * Excellent collaboration and partnership-building skills
